Rear-end car accident in Troy Missouri sends two drivers to St. Josephs West SSM

At approximately 3:55 Wednesday afternoon, Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a rear-end collision between two vehicles on Highway 47 in Lincoln County. Jackie Adkins (Troy, Missouri) was traveling east on Highway 47 when she slowed her vehicle and eventually stopped to wait for oncoming traffic before turning left on to intersecting Highway AA. Erica Gray (Warrenton, Missouri) was also traveling east on Highway 47 behind Ms. Adkins. Gray failed to slow or stop her vehicle and
unexpectedly crashed in to the rear of Ms. Adkins' vehicle. The impact was strong enough to damage both vehicles to the point of needing to be towed from the scene. In addition, both drivers were taken by ambulance to St. Joseph Hospital West to be treated for their injuries.
